City of San José has announced the launch of its Business Tax Amnesty Program for 2026, offering a one-time opportunity for individuals and businesses to resolve outstanding business tax obligations without penalties or interest.
The program officially began on January 1, 2026, and will run through December 31, 2026.
Under the amnesty program, eligible participants may register their business, pay past-due business taxes, and update required business information while receiving a full waiver of penalties and interest assessed by the City and Business Improvement Districts.
Who is eligible?
The program applies to individuals and businesses that:
- Have never registered their business with the City of San José
- Are behind on paying business taxes
- Need to update business tax information, such as employee count, square footage, or number of rental units
City officials note that the program is designed to help businesses come into compliance while reducing financial burden and encouraging accurate reporting.
Businesses and individuals may check eligibility or learn more about the program by contacting the City’s Business Tax Office.

City of San José vừa công bố Chương trình Ân Xá Thuế Kinh Doanh năm 2026, mang đến cơ hội một lần duy nhất cho cá nhân và doanh nghiệp giải quyết các khoản thuế kinh doanh còn tồn đọng mà không bị phạt hay tính lãi.
Chương trình có hiệu lực từ ngày 1 tháng 1 năm 2026 và kéo dài đến ngày 31 tháng 12 năm 2026.
Theo chương trình này, các cá nhân và doanh nghiệp đủ điều kiện có thể:
- Đăng ký kinh doanh với thành phố
- Thanh toán các khoản thuế kinh doanh còn nợ
- Cập nhật thông tin thuế kinh doanh như số nhân viên, diện tích sử dụng, hoặc số căn cho thuê
Khi hoàn tất các yêu cầu trên, người tham gia sẽ được miễn toàn bộ tiền phạt và tiền lãi do Thành phố San José và các Business Improvement Districts áp dụng trước đó.
Chương trình áp dụng cho:
- Cá nhân hoặc doanh nghiệp chưa từng đăng ký thuế kinh doanh với Thành phố San José
- Doanh nghiệp đang nợ thuế kinh doanh
- Doanh nghiệp cần cập nhật hoặc điều chỉnh thông tin thuế kinh doanh
Thành phố cho biết chương trình nhằm giúp doanh nghiệp tuân thủ quy định một cách tiết kiệm chi phí, đồng thời bảo đảm hồ sơ thuế được cập nhật chính xác.
