SAN FRANCISCO — Authorities are investigating after a doctor was found dead inside a freezer at a Dollar Tree store, according to police.
Officials say officers responded to the store after receiving a report of a deceased person. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of a man inside a freezer unit located within the store. The victim was later identified as a medical doctor.
Police have not released details about how the man ended up inside the freezer or the circumstances surrounding his death. Authorities said the case remains under investigation and it is unclear at this time whether foul play is suspected.
Investigators are working to determine a timeline and reviewing surveillance footage, while the coroner’s office conducts an autopsy to establish the cause and manner of death.
