A San Jose man is facing decades in federal prison after admitting to a violent robbery and assault on a U.S. Postal Service worker.
According to federal prosecutors, the suspect attacked a mail carrier while attempting to steal mail from a USPS vehicle. The assault was described as brutal, with the victim being repeatedly struck in the face and head before collapsing to the ground.
Authorities confirmed the suspect has pleaded guilty and now faces up to 25 years in prison for robbery, plus an additional 20 years for assaulting a federal employee.
