San José Police are investigating a shooting early Sunday morning that left one man dead and three others hospitalized.

Just before 3:00 AM, officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 2200 block of Lincoln Avenue in the Willow Glen neighborhood. When officers arrived, no victims were found at the scene.

A short time later, authorities learned that four men had self-transported to local hospitals suffering from gunshot wounds of varying severity. By 2:00 PM, one of the victims died from his injuries. The other three remained hospitalized with no updates on their conditions released to the public.

Police shut down Lincoln Avenue between Franquette Avenue and Curtner Avenue for an extended period to process the scene and search for evidence. No arrests have been made, and the motive for the shooting is still under investigation.

Officials urge anyone with information, surveillance footage, or bystander video to contact the San José Police Department.
