San Jose Councilmember Bien Doan has received two major endorsements in his bid for reelection in the District 7 City Council race, according to a report by San José Spotlight.
Doan secured backing from both the Silicon Valley Biz PAC and the South Bay Labor Council — two influential organizations that often represent different sides of the labor-business spectrum.
Political observers note that it is uncommon for both business and labor groups to unite behind the same candidate. The endorsements are being viewed as a sign of Doan’s ability to build coalitions across different sectors of the community.
Doan, a former firefighter and longtime union member, emphasized the importance of collaboration and consensus-building in addressing issues facing District 7, including public safety, economic stability and neighborhood revitalization.
The District 7 race is expected to draw significant attention as multiple candidates seek the seat in the upcoming election cycle.
