San Jose police are investigating a deadly shooting that left two men dead in downtown San Jose.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire late at night near the 700 block of East Santa Clara Street. When police arrived, they discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released their identities as detectives continue their investigation.
The incident prompted police to close nearby streets while forensic teams collected evidence and interviewed witnesses.
Violent crime remains a major concern for many residents and business owners in downtown San Jose.
